Associate Pastor

My sweet family and I live in Maysville, GA, about 10 minutes from downtown Homer. GA. My wife, Emily, and I have been married since November 2020. Before that we had been dating since we were Sophomores and Juniors in High School respectively (7 years). We have a 15 month old son, Fletcher (or FJ as we like to call him). We also have a dog, Aspen, and a cat, Tux, that fill out our home! I enjoy fishing (especially fly fishing), golf (both ball golf and disc golf), and keeping up with my favorite teams (UGA and Atlanta Braves).

I was saved when I was 14 years old during an FCA meeting. I had always been a church kid, but the gospel had no meaning or significance to me personally. That morning, God opened my eyes to my sinfulness and my desperate need for Him, and saved me. He very quickly placed a desire in me to serve Him. As I grew up through High School and my first year of college, I was given opportunities to grow in my gifting to teach and preach, and meanwhile God gave me a deep burden for the spiritual condition of His bride. After seeking counsel from some of my professors at Liberty University, and my Pastor, I answered the call to ministry the summer between my freshman and sophomore years in college. In 2017, God opened various doors an allowed me to come home and serve on staff at my home church while finishing my degree online. In my 5 years at Maysville, I have served as Middle School Pastor, and as the Pastor of Online and Media Ministries. Over these 5 years, God has continue to grow me in my faith and ministry, and has continued to give me a deep desire to see and lead Biblical Churches operating for His Glory. Over these last few years, church planting has seemed to me the direction God was leading me, and so my wife and I alongside the leadership at the church have been praying for clarity and opportunities to serve the Lord in this way. I am overjoyed to be a part of the team of Harvest, alongside Chris and the other families God has brought together. I cannot wait to see how God uses our fellowship and faithfulness to bring Glory to His name in Homer and the Nations!
