I am the husband to Renee Porter, and father to Watson Porter. In a time span of three years between junior high and high school I struggled with God in regards to becoming a follower of Christ. After baptism I began to seek the Lord and grow in his grace. A desire to serve the church through teaching the Bible came into my heart. My calling to ministry was affirmed by the local church. I was then licensed and ordained by the same church. By God’s grace I have been in ministry ever since. I have served three churches in various pastoral roles. 

Banks County has been my home for thirty one years. The lack of the knowledge of the gospel in this county is my burden. Many are perishing daily in my home town who have never heard the gospel and even more who are religious, but have no desire to be a part of the church. We desire to be a church that doesn’t seek to meet the sinful felt desires of those who are without Christ, but be a faithful body of believers who seek to give those outside the church what they need, the truth of God’s word. I yearn to see what God might do with a pure church whose focus is Glory of God.
