I  grew up in Maysville, GA. Spending my whole life in a small town has been amazing. Me and my fiancé are recently engaged, and looking to get married in march of next year. We are both extremely excited to be a part of building and growing a bible focused church in Homer.

I  was almost 19 before I was regenerated by the holy spirit. Growing up I was surround by lots of people that claimed to be Christian, but that never lived it out. This made me hate the church. All I could see was all the problems that the church had. I was the scientific/academic type which meant that if you couldn’t prove it I didn’t believe it. All through high school I opposed Christ with logic and reason. Learning all the arguments for why Christians were wrong. However, there was a deep desire for truth. A deep desire for something I did know have. I fell into depression. My life had no meaning, and all I believed was that I was destined to be a failure. This draw me to seek change. I was willing to do whatever it took to change my life. To have meaning and purpose. So, I sought the one thing that I had spit on for so long. I started reading the gospel of John. Naturally being logical and intellectual, John appealed to me being the most theology forward gospel. Everything changed when I read John 15:16 “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.”

In that moment the holy spirit gave me the gift of Justification. Regenerating my soul and making me alive in Christ. Shortly after on Jan. 29, 2012, the day after my birthday, I  was baptized. A few weeks later I felt this deep desire to be a part of ministry. To bring people to the same understanding Christ had brought me too. That I was created with a purpose. That I  had been given meaning. That I was to bear the imagine of Christ. Taking the Gospel to those that needed it. To bear fruit that would last forever. So, I started a long journey spanning the last 10 year, almost 11, that saw me graduated college with a bachelors degree in Business Management, then Master in Theology, be ordained as a pastor, and start a full-time pastor position with RU4 People, a mission organization in Flowery Branch. It has been a truly amazing, blessed, crazy journey that feels like it is just beginning with joining Harvest Baptist Church.
